About the Journal

Focus and Scope

The aim of this Journal is to provide a space for students, academics and professionals to publish work focused on the study of international relations. Given the interdisciplinary nature of the study, high-quality submissions from all academic and professional backgrounds are encouraged. Students (UG/PG/MPhil/PhD) are also warmly encouraged to submit work for publication.

Publication Frequency

The Issue dates will be as follows:

  • September to December Receipt of Articles = Publication in April following year
  • January to June Receipt of Articles = Publication in October 

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

There is no charge to publish in CVIR.

Archiving Policy

All of our article metadata is openly available for harvesting by indexing services via OAI-PMH and the journal is registered with Open Archives.

Contemporary Voices in International Relations

Contemporary Voices in International Relations was launched in April 2018.  The aim of the Journal is to provide a space for students, academics and professionals to publish work focused on the study of international relations.

Contemporary Voices in International Relations was launched in April 2018. The aim of the Journal is to provide a space for students, academics and professionals to publish work focused on the study of international relations. 

Contemporary Voices is a relaunch of the Journal of Terrorism Studies which was published between 2011 and 2017.
