Author Biography

Sarah Edgcumbe, University of St Andrews

Sarah is a PhD student with the School of International Relations at the University of St Andrews. Her research examines Roma conceptions of peace and everyday resistance to peacebuilding policies in Kosovo, Lebanon and Northern Ireland. She holds an MA in conflict studies and human rights from the University of Utrecht, and an MA in refugee protection and forced migration studies from the University of London's School of Advanced Study. Her research interests are the interrelationship between conflict, gender and minorities and the role of grassroots activism and resistance in civic-society building within a conflict or post-conflict context.
